The ProJoy Firefighter Safety Switch for rapid shutdown is an effective solution to ensure the safety of your solar PV system. While most PV systems integrate DC isolation switches, up to 600–1500VDC can still exist between the inverter and panels even when the switch is off. This poses a serious hazard to firefighters in the event of a fire. Fortunately, ProJoy's PEFS series safety switch can automatically turn off the isolation switch after detecting a grid failure, adding an extra layer of safety if a fire ever breaks out.

Rapid Shutdown for Safety
Firefighters and emergency workers can be exposed to potentially very serious hazards in a fire. But by shutting down the AC before extinguishing a fire, the ProJoy firefighter safety switch 5 strings detect the grid failure and after 5 seconds, the PEFS will automatically go into rapid shutdown and turn off the isolation switch.
